The high school system (12-year education) has been introduced in the Armenian education system not long ago and is still undergoing development stages. There is a widespread belief in the society, especially among stakeholders (students, parents, and partly teachers) that high school startups were useless and should not be invested, as students waste a lot of time there. However, high schools need to play a much more important role, and by making systemic changes within high schools, informing the public of their importance and significance, it is necessary to change that misconception.
Taking into account a number of problems in high schools and the importance of solving them, the “Civil Solidarity” Liberal NGO conducted a number of surveys in this area within the framework of the “Improving High School Functionality” Project implemented with the sub-grant provided in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project which is implemented by a consortium led by the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO. And this report attempts to offer some solutions for them.
The report is available in Armenian language.
