On 30 August, a round-table discussion on Preliminary (craftsmanship) and Vocational Training Development Program was held in Vanadzor Office of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association within the framework of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project.
Mr. Norik Tunyan, Expert of the Armenian Centre for Democratic Education – SIVITAS NGO, presented to the attention of the participants of the discussion the goals and objectives of the Primary and Vocational Education Development Program (2020-2025).
The key issues discussed were the structural reforms in PVET area, as well as the reforms in the legal and legislative fields.
The meeting also discussed educational standards and their relevance to curricula. One of the key issues discussed was the compliance of PVET with labor market requirements.
Norik Tunyan conducted the meeting in a question-and-answer format, after which the participants made a number of suggestions to implement reforms in the field of PVET.
Representatives of vocational schools, colleges and NGOs attended the round-table discussion.
