On 13 September, the five-day training entitled “How to Manage Strong Coalitions” in Aghveran was accomplished. The training has been organised in the scope of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project (CCD) funded by the European Union and is meant for the coalitions of civil society organisations created and/or strengthened within the CCD project.
To conduct the training, 3 experts have arrived from the Czech Republic to share their own experiences: Petr Čáp – the managing director of National Network of Local Action Groups; Kristýna Fantová – a freelance grant writer with 18 years of experience in the NGO sector both in the Czech Republic and internationally; Miroslava Vitásková – a graduate of international relations and European studies with 10 years of experience with Czech and international NGOs, as well as the business sector.
At the end of the five-day course, Mr. Artak Saribekyan, Deputy Project Manager and the Grants Coordinator of CCD project, held a final speech. He thanked the Czech specialists for their visit and exchange of knowledge and experience.
During the five-day training, participants were introduced to a number of topics on the formation of coalitions, internal structure, their stability and flexibility. They discussed how the coalition can ensure its financial stability. The Czech experts also presented the participants with the opportunity to network with similar EU coalitions, sharing their experience on effective coalition governance, advocacy and lobbying. Games were held on the diversity of fundraising, and mapping of sources.
