Commitment to Constructive Dialogue

Presentation of the Draft of Social Partnership Community Model in the Sisian Community

On 18 September 2018, the “Partnership and Teaching” NGO discussed the draft of Social Partnership Community Model with stakeholders from the Sisian community in the scope of the “Social Partnership and Education: Community-Based Opportunities for Young People” project.

The following people participated in the meeting dedicated to the presentation and discussion of the draft model: employees of the Sisian Community Administration, Regional Employment Center, representatives of public education and vocational education institutes, CSO representatives, young people, employers.

The purpose of the meeting was to present the Social Partnership Community Model drafted by the expert group of the above-mentioned project to the main stakeholders of the enlarged Sisian community, discuss and agree it with them in order to operate it later at an institutional level. The Social Partnership Community Model is a social partnership concept of vocational education and training in enlarged RA communities.

The meeting was moderated by project consortium member Karen Hovhannisyan, the Director of the Sisian Adult Education Center.

The draft model was presented to the meeting participants by project consortium member Aram Avagyan, the Director of the “Global Developments” Foundation and a project expert.

After getting familiar with the draft model and its structure, the meeting participants were given an opportunity to share their position on the draft.

The draft gained a positive response among the participants: Some stakeholders could already imagine their role in the draft application process which must have been done through the community councils to be formed later.
