On 24 June, a public discussion on the topic “Problems of Integration of Persons with Disabilities in Society through Vanadzor Example” was organized in the office of “Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities” NGO, within the scope of the “Human Rights, Monitoring and Publicity” Sub-grant project implemented in the framework of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project.
Ms Anush Aslanyan, President of “Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities” NGO, presented international documents on the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities, the omissions that exist in the area on the example of Vanadzor city, as well as the necessary solutions. She spoke about the correct ethics of stereotypes and disability about persons with disabilities as well.
Mr. Taron Mkrtchyan, the Co-Founder of “Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities” NGO, shared experience and presented his example of integration into society and the challenges he faced during that process.
