Commitment to Constructive Dialogue

The Results of the “Introduction of Alternative, Cost-Effective Models for Pre-school Education: Monitoring in Kapan Community and Communities of Kapan Region” were summarised

On 11 June, the finalising event within the framework of the “Introduction of Alternative, Cost-Effective Models for Pre-school Education: Monitoring in Kapan Community and Communities of Kapan Region” sub grant project implemented in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project was held.

The project is implemented by the “Rainbow” Leaders’ Educational Centre NGO.

Mr. Henry Baghdasaryan, the Head of Education, Culture and Sport Department of Kapan Municipality, teachers from the Kapan community, trained within the framework of the “Introduction of Alternative, Cost-Effective Models for Pre-school Education: Monitoring in Kapan Community and Communities of Kapan Region” and parents of children attending  pre-school education establishments and CSO representatives – 43 participants.

Ms S. Martirosyan, President of “Rainbow” Leaders’ Educational Centre NGO, delivered the opening speech. She thanked the participants for their willingness to cooperate and to implement the idea of ​​the project. The Project manager also referred to the fact that the project also was aimed at contributing to the implementation of the Government’s medium-term expenditure plan for 2019-2021, through implementing monitoring in Kapan Community and the settlement of Kapan.

Mr. Henry Baghdasaryan, the Head of Education, Culture and Sport Department of Kapan Municipality also delivered a speech. He expressed gratitude to the Project implementers for the work and achievements implemented under the sub-project Introduction of Alternative, Cost-Effective Models for Pre-school Education: Monitoring in Kapan Community and Communities of Kapan Region as well as for the efficient and constructive cooperation between the “Rainbow” Leaders’ Educational Centre NGO and the Kapan Municipality.

Mr. Lilit Arakelyan, the project expert, presented the project objectives to the participants of the discussion, summarizing the activities carried out within the project, financial activities of the project, and its media coverage; and the conducting of studies in the pre-school educational establishments operating in 12 administrative districts in Kapan and 4 administrative districts of Kapan region, Tsav, Davitbek, Artsvanik, Syunik rural communities.

At the end of the meeting certificates were handed to the tutors of the pre-school educational establishments and parents of the children who had passed training in the scope of the “Introduction of Alternative, Cost-Effective Models for Pre-school Education: Monitoring in Kapan Community and Communities of Kapan Region” project.

The participants of the discussion highlighted organisations of meetings in this format within the framework of the project, evaluated the importance of the program, the effectiveness of the project and the work carried out within the framework of the project, as well as expressed willingness to continue the cooperation contributing to the introduction and use of alternative pre-school cost effective models in Kapan community.
